=================================
A) - UNDOCUMENTED TIPS FOR CMA 5.0
--------------------------------------------------
More insider tips for using the Analyzer.
--->Tip#13: Avoiding Autorun when using the CMA CD-R "Gold Edition".
1 - Choose ABORT after the CD-R starts with Autorun.
2 - In MyComputer right click on your CD-R drive and choose Explore to view the Extras folder.
--->Tip#14: Adding all of the program module names to your Programs menu.
When asked by the installer if you wish to create a program folder, the recommended answer is YES. This will add the individual program name to the CMA folder on your Program list. You will be asked this question for each program that you choose to install, so answer YES each time. If you made the wrong choice, just run the master installer again or use the START/SETTINGS menu in Windows to add the icon on to your Program menu where you want it.
--->Tip#15: Avoiding memory problems when using the Master Installer.
When asked if you want to RUN the program just installed the recommended answer is NO. Answering no will insure that all the programs continue their installations. Wait until all program installations are complete before running any of the programs. If your system is low on memory, install one component at a time by removing the X from the install box in front of each individual program or module. I further recommend that no other programs be running when you do any installation and it's probably a good idea to do a restart of Windows when you finish an install.

2- JIM WILSON'S WEBSITE UPDATE
==============================
Mis-Adventures In Restoring A Classic 1965 Mustang
or

http://www.classicpony.com [coming soon]
"Mis-Adventures In Restoring A Classic 1965 Mustang" is the title of Jim's updated website, where you can listen to the Car Warz midi played by Jim and view some nice restoration photos. Jim was recently provided with a Mustang Top 100 Site Award for his efforts in updating his "Mis-Adventures", so pay his site a visit and drop him a line. Jim would love to hear from some fellow Mustangers and CMA members about his site and his 1965 restoration.
Editors Note: As well as being a registered CMA member, Jim helped us to beta test version 5.0 and also earned a spot in the 1999 CMA Newsletter Yearbook. Thanks again Jim for your help, interest and continued support.
Last Minute: Jim emailed and advised me to hold off the newsletter mention because he was setting up his own domain CLASSICPONY.COM and was in the process of changing and moving everything. But then he alerted me to the fact that he was just about ready, so I see no reason not to mention it, because if his site is not in one place it will be in the other. You know, what Yogi said, "No matter where you go, there you are!" Besides, I just about had everything done and didn't want to change anything.
A) - FAIRFIELD MINT
http://www.fairfieldmint.com/
The Fairfield Mint has just introduced a new limited edition 1957 Ford Fairlane with a retractable hardtop convertible. Fairfield claims unmatched quality in this 1:18 scale die-cast metal replica with over 100 precision parts. The top is fully functional and slides into the trunk. The company also claims the model is hand crafted from solid die-cast metal. It's painted black and white with some gold and chrome trim. The hood and doors open to a detailed engine and interior. Fairfield allows you 60 days to evaluate your purchase with a full refund promised if not satisfied. This is a limited edition and the model will retire on 12/31/2001. The price for this truly unique die-cast is a low $34.95 plus $5.00 S&H. Send payment to: Fairfield Mint, 20 Academy Street, Norwalk, CT 06850-4032 . In it's literature the company says it accepts check, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit cards. Although some models maybe ordered on their website, the '57 Fairlane was not listed when I verified the site and the email address for questions also did not work at that time. The site was new and under construction so everything may not have been quite shipshape as yet. To order by phone or request a catalog: 1-800-964-8908

Source: Review by Charles Savage of the Miami Herald
"Gone in 60 Seconds, a car theft caper starring Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie's lips, is slickly produced pornography for the sports car lover, and little more."
"Like its characters, the movie's cameras ogle the luscious lines of a 1987 Ferrari Testarosa, caress the smooth curves of a Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and break into a breathless, fast-cut frenzy when at last a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500 is released to roar, pounding down the pavement."
"Gone in 60 Seconds tells the story of Randall "Memphis" Raines (Cage), who was once the ultimate car thief but retired years ago at his mother's request and now runs a go-kart track. When his younger brother Kip (Giovanni Ribisi) gets in debt to a ruthless Long Beach crime boss, Raymond Calitri (Christopher Eccleston), Memphis is forced to steal 50 cars in one night to fill the order Kip promised but failed to deliver."
"The final crash comes with the script's climax. This movie's premise clearly demands the Car Chase to End All Car Chases. But, unfortunately, the filmmakers chose instead to go with yet another tired cat-and-mouse shoot-out in a dark and labyrinthine industrial warehouse. In the end, for all its auto-erotic flair, Gone in 60 Seconds is missing a money shot."
5- CMA MINI CD PLAYER UPDATE V1.5
http://members.aol.com/johnpalm/free.html
WHAT'S NEW ?
1- Added volume control with mute option.
Look for the new updated Mini CD Player version 1.5 now posted on the FREE software page located at the http address above or you can access the ftp site for a direct download. What has been updated you ask? A very handy VOLUME control has been added to permit you to control the sound volume of playing music CD's without having to reach for your hardware speaker knob or bringing up the Windows volume control center. Now you will be able to call the volume control slide right from the Mini CD Player and it will also contain a mute option. Eventually I hope to integrate the Mustang Mini CD Start Center into the Analyzer interface. I'm hoping to do this in the next update of the Analyzer core module. This could occur over the next several months. The Analyzer update would also include a call to the BuckTag Decoder as an add-on module and a brand new Tips section. It's under development as of now.

CLASSIC OR NEW MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE CONTEST
The Coca-Cola Bottling Company is running a contest to promote their products. The contest involves a specially designed can called a "Discover Can" that has a top on it that is designed to pull off when you try to lift the tab. This will then reveal a game piece that will advise you if you have won something or not. The top prizes in this contest are you guessed it, a 1965 or 2000 Mustang convertible. I visited CocaCola.com , but was unable to find out any further information about this contest. I have seen displays in both Kmart and Walgreens, so I know the contest is ligitimate. Many states have laws which require manufactures who run sweepstakes type contests to provide free entries to those who do not wish to purchase the contest product. This means that you could simply send a post card or maybe an email to Coke requesting game pieces and they legally must honor your request. If you know this to be true in your state, then by all means go for it. Remember, you could also simply just purchase the product. The brands that possess these special tops on some cans are Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, and Sprite in specially marked boxes.
10 - REGNOW UPGRADES HARDWARE
RegNow is one of the online business partners that I utilize to sell and download registered versions of Classic Mustang Analyzer. I'm excited to announce to you the upgrade of all the RegNow hardware to new state-of-the-art equipment! On Thursday night June29, 2000 from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am (4 hours) Pacific Time, everything will be brought down to move to the new hardware. This time was carefully chosen to minimize the impact to incoming orders. If you experienced any difficulty using our RegNow partners service, please try again or contact either myself or RegNow directly.
So what's so great about this hardware? Folks, this is going to bring us the speed, reliability, and stability that we need to run a top notch operation. Their database server alone will be running on a Sun 6500 Enterprise box. This is an impressive server. Standing at a monstrous 68" tall, this beast can hold up to 30 processors, 60 gigabytes of RAM, and can hold over 2 Terabytes of internal storage! Combine the database server with redundant web servers on T3 connections and they will be serving our information to you at the speed of light! If you are interested in finding out more about this new server visit the URL address above
The following quotes have been taken from a movie review by Charles Savage of the Miami Herald newspaper published on Friday, June 9, 2000 with the author's permission. I advised Mr. Savage that all of the reader's of the Classic Mustang Analyzer were hardcore Mustang enthusiasts. As such, I expect that after viewing the TV commercials for "Gone in 60 Seconds", like me you will want to see it if only to watch the 1967 Shelby in action. Kind of reminds me of Bullitt! I have watched that chase scene a hundred times and just never tire of it. So here's what Mr. Savage had to say. You can read the whole review at http://www.rottentomatoes.com or view a photo by using the URL link above.
2- Added moving ponies to interface when Play
button is activated.
3- Less time to wait for preset menu.
4- Updated code and information.
The eternal question, which to buy V6 or V8? Maybe this information will help out with this skull busting, brain wrenching decision. The V6 Mustang convertible manufacturer's suggested list price is $21,465 and the V8 GT MSRP is only $3,900 more at $25,365. Why settle for 190 mediocre horses when for only a slight bit more you can have the 260 horsepower tire shredding 4.6 Liter V8 with 302 foot-pounds of torque. When you opt for the GT, almost everything else that you would want or need is included at no extra charge. This would include air-conditioning, antilock brakes, AM/FM stereo with cassette and CD player along with the keyless entry system. If you would be adding some or all of these options, then it makes sense to go for the V8 GT model. Also worth mentioning here is the resale value. If you plan on keeping the Mustang for a while, say five or six years, the resale value of the V8 GT will be considerably higher and quite possibly making up the difference between the two models. For instance, I checked the value of a 1994 V8 Mustang GT convertible and a similiarly equipted V6 convertible using the Kelley Blue Book website. The '94 GT was worth $12,575 at retail and $8,230 as a trade-in while the V6 was worth $10,015 at retail with only $6,250 being offered by dealers for a trade-in. Of course if you are leasing, your thinking might be somewhat different and might lean towards the V6 model.
