I happen to have a
1989 Mustang LX 5.0 Sport Hatchback in the exterior color of 1K. Alright so what about it? Well I've seen very few on the road and I was thinking of starting a Registry for them. As far as I know, they were only made from 1987 until sometime in 1989. The numbers are way below 2,000 manufactured each year. How many were coupes, hatchbacks, or convertibles? How many were GT's or LX's? How many were 4 cylinder powered versus V8 powered? How many were automatic versus manual tranmission? I have no idea! Some people have referred to this color as Smoke, and some as Light Grey, or Light Gray. It's hard to tell it from white on a very bright or sunny day, but on a cloudy or overcast day it treally stands out. Especially if you park next to a white car. If you have any information about these cars or would like to be part of the 1K Mustang Registry, please let me here from you. Click the link or image above to find out more about my car.

Limited Edition 600 by Don Hughmanick
http://pages.prodigy.net/d.hughmanick/ltd600.html
The Limited Edition 600 was a promotional unit developed by the Philadelphia sales district in May of
1969. The 600 consisted of special order, custom colored Mustangs in either "Flower Power Red" or "Groovy
Green." This promotion was only available on hardtops or sportsroofs and included a hood scoop, remote,
chrome mirror, AM radio, full wheel covers, whitewalls, tape stripes, and unique fender emblems, all for a special
price. Even some hardtops were delivered with vinyl roofs. The promotion's sales goal was to sell 600 of these
special units, however, only 503 of Limited Edition 600s were produced, clearly falling short of the target
of 600 Mustangs. Interestingly, there was least one Mach 1 in this promotion.

C4 Transmission Filter Replacement: A Mini Project by Lance Olive
Lance has been kind enough to agree and share everything he learned about changing the transmission fluid and filter in a 1970 Ford Mustang Coupe C4 Automatic Transmission. The article is broken down into five sections or chapters and is accompanied by close up digital images of what Lance is talking about. Since the C4 was such a popular transmission used from 1965 through 1973 and beyond, this well written, clear and informative article should be of interest to many readers. Here is a photo of Lance's project car.
