4- 2004 NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW NEWS

======================================================

WEBSITE: www.autoshowny.com

FORD LEGENDS MAKE A GREAT DISPLAY a the 2004 New York Auto Show. Ford went with a monochromatic color theme in silver displaying a 2005 Mustang, Ford GT, and Thunderbird in front of a huge wide screen with running action video of it's cars in motion. The effect was dramatic to say the least! Naturally I took my new Kodak digital camera and shot lots of images. The display area in the Javits Center was expansive. Every bit of floor space and outside space was utilized and it was the largest show I have ever attended at this location. There were many well done exhibits and I enjoyed the Saturn, Chrysler, and Toyota, setups as well as Fords. My conscentration was mostly on the concept cars, but some new models caught my eye as well. I even got a little misty eyed looking at an example of Oldsmobile's special "Last 500" models. In this issue of the Classic Mustang Analyzer I decided to go with the 2005 Mustang GTR for the slide show and the 2005 Mustang, the 2005 Mustang GTR, the new Shelby and the 2004 Mustang Mach 1 for this month's wallpaper.

Next month I"ll include some beautiful new Fort GT images, the new Bronco concept, the Ford F250 Harley Davidson Super Duty, as well as some cars other than Fords. The Saturn Curve concept vehicle gets a two thumbs up! I also predict the new Chrysler 300 with Hemi V-8 as well as other less expensive 300's will be big sellers. Design and price will be very attracive with these great looking cars.

Ford Shelby Cobra engineers created a new aluminum block V-10 to power this concept. The 6.4 liter engine delivers 605 horsepower and 501 foot-pounds of torque.

The 2005 Mustang combines an all new fully modern architecture with all the soul that makes a Mustang a Mustang. Bold style, brawny engine and rear wheel drive excitement combined with tire smoking power. The GT sports a 300 horsepower, 24 valve MOD V-8.

I was disappointed with the new Ford Freestyle. It looked like an old fashion station wagon. I also did not include the Ford 500 since I reported on it last year. It will be in production as Ford's new flagship sedan.
