More insider tips for using the Analyzer.
The tip here is that hidden among all of it's other goodies CMA contains a vendor database. Using this database you can find a classic Mustang parts vendor close to where you live. Most of these dealers have genuine Ford parts, (NOS) New Old Stock parts that are (OEM) or manufactured by the original supplier and contain a date code confirmation, or (REPRO) reproduction parts produced by Ford authorized or MCA authorized manufacturers. None of the vendors in the database has paid any advertising fees to be placed there. They are there because of established reputations, word of mouth, or MCA listing. If you know of a reputable vendor that is not on the list please send me the listing information and I will add them to the database. Also, if you should find fault with any of the vendors, let me know. If you installed the Vendor Database, then it will appear in the Start Menu/Programs/Classic Mustang Analyzer folder. You can start it right from there wihtout having to open the Analyzer. If you did not install it during your original installation, then run the CMA Master Installer and check mark it for installation. Be sure to uncheck all other items or they will copy over the present items already installed.
This is the ninth part of an on going series to present you with accurate prices to fill in to the CMA Window Sticker Maker. I have been searching for quite some time as I'm sure many of you have to find accurate sticker pricing information.

Mahwah Assembly line photo: July 1975
The Record Newspaper of Hackensack, NJ recently reported that the former employees of the old Ford Mahwah plant gathered together on the weekend of September 16-17 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the closing of the famous old assembly plant.
The Record article contained some interesting facts about the Mahwah plant. Many of you whose cars were produced there might be interested in preserving these items with your historical records. One item of note however. Although the article claims Mustangs were produced at Mahwah, no production years or figures were provided to substantiate this claim. After checking two reliable source books, namely the Catalog Of Mustang ID Numbers and the Mustang Encyclopedia, I could find no reference to the Mahwah plant. Some quick research on the internet told me that Mahwah was plant code "E" and that some 1980 Anniversary model Mustangs were produced there. If you know of any other Mustangs produced at Mahwah please let me know. Any information you have about this item would be appreciated.
Your no charge Classic Mustang Analyzer FreeDrive account has now been upgraded form 20 Mb of free internet storage space to 50 Mb of storage space. If you have not registered for this free online storage space as yet, please do so soon. We don't know how long FreeDrive can maintain this offer to their affiliates, but right now seems to be as good as it gets. They have promised that they will not downgrade any registered users, provided they already have an existing account should they start to fall short on storage space. You can share this account with any other people that you wish and now a new utility allows you to save files right from the web to your FreeDrive space without having to download to your personal hard drive first. This makes saving files lightning fast. Another great perk is that if you are on the road, or on vacation, or just at a different location, you can access the files on your FreeDrive. If you need more that 50Mb of space, then simply open accounts under different names. Don't wait, do it now.
Ford Motor Company is recommending that Explorer owners add more air pressure to their Firestone tires. The recommended air pressure is now 30 pounds per square inch versus the 26 PSI previously recommended on the Explorer's passenger side door/tire pressure sticker. The recommendation applies to Firestone P235/75R15 tires installed on the Ford Explorer.
In a related item, investigators have also found out that the right rear tire or driver's side rear tire is the tire most vulnerable to a failure or blowout. No reason for this has been discovered as yet, but keep a check on it or rotate it often until it's replaced.

Editor's Note: Those of you who are registered users can read or reread the section about classic Mustang pricing in the Analyzer. Using a certified classic car appraiser is the best idea, because many folks just don't know what to look for. Using a professional is well worth the price. You can usually find one in one of the local clubs. Please use this series as an updated guide to the prices contained in the current version of CMA.
The ratings are fair, good, and excellent to simplify things although many professionals use a one to five rating with five being the lowest. So you can correlate this to three, two, and one because anything less is really not worth the investment unless it's a very rare or valuable model. Fair would represent a car in driving condition, but in need of restoration. Good represents a show car in what most people might consider mint condition with some minor flaws. Excellent represents a show car in what the MCA might call Thoroughbred class condition. What that means in some cases is better than showroom condition with all original parts or factory original replacement parts. All markings, tags and decals are correct in every detail.
